Karla Dominguez – a Registered Nurse at Hospitals of Providence–Memorial Campus, El Paso, Texas – passed away on 19 April, 2020, after suffering from COVID-19. Karla was 33 years old.
Dominguez, 33, died April 19 at The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus, where she worked. She was admitted after going to the hospital's emergency room April 7 due to her constant migraines, her father, retired general practitioner Dr. Carlos Dominguez, said in a phone interview with the El Paso Times.
Karla Dominguez was a pediatric intensive care nurse for about five years at Providence Children’s Hospital, he said. That hospital is part of the Memorial hospital campus next to the University of Texas at El Paso campus.
